Missing Black Cat

Not my black cat but a black cat in the neighborhood. The woman who’s cat is missing came by our house because she’d heard someone saw a black cat. Turned out it was our cat Miles and she looked like she was going to cry, I felt so awful for her to get her hopes up and they totally crushed like that. Her cat has been missing for more than 8 days now and I’d just be a basket case.

Nervous About My Outfit

I am trying to put together a sassy outfit for a wedding in June, even though I’ll be doing the photography (so working) most of the time. Still, the outfit is different than what I normally do. I’m starting to wonder if I should do a black top like the woman in the picture or the white as I was intending, especially since my boobs are SO big. I guess I’ll play around with it, I just hope I don’t chicken out, after all this work I put into it.

Oh Yes, I’m An Anglophile

The tee I made for the show I love Misfits, I also made one for Skins.

I named my little cactus at work after Rudy from Misfits.

The cat we adopted most recently I named Miles, after Chris Miles from the British series Skins.

I also have a British Telly blog that coincides with my tumblr of the same name. I love everything England though and I’d move there if we could afford it and if my husband wanted to as much as I do. I admit though, I’d probably enjoy England a bit more if I was single and in my twenties. Oh and pets are really tough (and expensive) to move overseas. So until then I’ll just be an Anglophile who dreams a lot.

Websites I Can’t Live Without

http

I saw this post by Jenny and got an idea to share some of my favorite sites.

Goodreads: This is where I keep track of all the books I’m reading and what books I started and hated and what books are my favorite. I honestly dont’ know what I’d do without this site.

IMDB: I swear I’ve been using this site since the beginning of time. I try to rate every movie I watch and I have an obsessive need to look up actors I recognize.

Postcrossing: I came across this site a bit ago and I love it. I’ve sent and received around 100 postcards.

Pinterest: I know everyone does Pinterest and who cares but honestly, I love it. I don’t just post things for no reason. Ok, sometimes I post stuff for fun but I also post recipes I want to try, DIY ideas and stuff I’ve tried out myself and how it worked out.

Yelp: I love this site for finding places to try. I know Yelp has gotten a lot of flack for people posting ridiculous reviews and hurting businesses but I find you can tell the real reviews from the crap reviews.

All these links are my own profiles so you can add me if you want or at least get a feel for what these sites are really about. You can find lots of other sites I use in the sidebar.
